Dry Battered Fish
Using 500g of fish (normally hake, better known as stockfish) or even snoek, the following batters can be used for frying

  1. Season fish well with salt and pepper (garlic salt/ powder can also be used)
  2. Heat oil in pan.
  3. Prepare two bowls- one with flour and one with beaten egg.
  4. Place seasoned sliced fish in flour (cover fish well) and then dip into egg.
  5. Fry in heated oil until golden brown.
